US Citizens petitioniong for daughter over 21 years old?

If she is unmarried, F1a; wait time about 7.5 years

If she is married, F3: 11 years.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

It all depends on how many people apply, as each category has a certain number of visas granted each year. If few people apply in a category, then it doesn;t take long to get an interview. Of course, during the years waiting, that may change also.

I agree but is hard to become a US citizens, so if you are a LPR and petition for your daughter/son over 21 its faster for being a US citizen

If your child was in the F2b category, he/she can retain that category after you got your US citizenship.

I heard this was only specific to the Philippines... I'm hoping you're right however!!

My PD is Feb 08 and I am under the category F1, this was changed 2 years ago when my mother became a citizen, before that I was F2B....

Over the last year my mother has called to ask if we can revert back to the F2B (as I would now be current) however was told it is not possible.. ??

Anyone else know anything about this?

The law applies to all cases. Nothing specific about the PI. It's just that there are many cases from the PI.
