Is foreign degree evaluation necessary?

I am receiving my EAD soon and am about to start applying for jobs.

I was wondering from your experiences, should I get my degree evaluated by WES, ECE etc or not bother until I get an interview? Is this something companies will definitely ask for at a job interview?

My job field is in office administration or HR and my degree is from Australia. Thanks.

From my own personal experience at hiring foreign staff, we don't do any evaluation except to confirm that the degree is legit. On the other hand, if you are going back to school then it makes sense to get the degree evaluated.
