Thats great news Val, I am so happy that everything is finally happening for you two. Do you have a place to go to in Florida (your own I mean) or are you staying with your daughter until you find something.

Wish you well with your packing and travels and also with the dogs!!

:lol::lol: Too damned true Lisa, we'll have that drink yet, I have your phone number so you can't get out of it :lol:

Hi Broma, we are staying with my daughter initially but we have a realtor (thanks toLisaD) who already has houses lined up for us to view on the Monday as we land on the Friday, so hopefully it will not be long before we are in our own place. Hope that we get a house before our furniture arrives which should be about 4/5 weeks from us leaving the UK.

We really do not think that Morgan will make it :crying: which it so heartbreaking for us. At times he seems fine, not as active as he used to be but he still enjoys the park but he is not eating properly and his stomach seems distended to me, which is not a good sign. We are taking him to the vets this Wednesday, and he will give him a good exam and we wll abide what he says. If the cancer is in his stomach now, it means the rest of his organs are being invaded and it will be time.

After much thought, much searching of our hearts and lots of cryng we have decided that the best testimony that we could ever give him would be to get another rotty at a later date, when the hurt has gone, and call him Morgan 2 but he has to look like he did and that is not going to be easy

I tried to upload a picture of him but it did not work, knowing me I am doing it wrong

Val

I am sorry to hear that Morgan is not doing too well. Let him go with the dignity he deserves, I know that losing a pet is very hard and right now you probably are very mixed up emotionally (I dont mean that in a bad way) excited at moving and devasted at what has happened to your precious doggie.

I still get very emotional when I think of when I lost my dog and that was in 1989 but she was just such a good dog.

You are wise to do as the vet advises. That sounds like a good idea to get a Morgan 2, and I am sure you will know when the time is right.

I wish you well,

Broma

becca, broma, thank you so much for that,

I know we have to do what is best for him and we will but it will be so heartbreaking, we had so many plans for him, to take him on the beach and have a huge garden with trees so that if squirrels came he could have the time of the life, but at least we will have wonderful memories (F)

On a much lighter note.....ALAN GOT HIS VISA :dance::dance:
