Hi everyone,

I'm doing a waec resitting English test this afternoon. My interview is early next month and my English test result will be up 2-4 weeks. That's going to be after my interview, I've been thinking if the co ask me for my waec results and I tell him that I've just sat the waec English test, will he put me on AP? or give me a week or so if I don't have the results at the time of the interview? Currently I'm not working nor schooling. Would that be a problem if I'm asked? I reside in ghana by the way and I'm a foreigner there. These are the only problems I have now. I have all other documents including high school diploma, report card and transcript. Thanks for your reply.

Susie the waec is more like the SAT in the US. You can be out of school without it but it gives an even evaluation of your abilities for college placement. Almost all students that wish to proceed educationally take it. Not having it should not disqualify the applicant unless their high school is not good.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Really? Another forum I am on talks about waec as the authority proving high school exam results, of which a certain number and grade are required to prove equivakency to US high school to qualify for DV.

Or maybe I misunderstood..

But remember the high school equivalency requirement for DV is that it is enough for college entry.

African schools can be all over the place with the quality of their education hence the test there is much more important than the SAT here is.
