Ok. USCIS received my AOS by December 26 (Adjusting from F-1 OPT, married last June) and last Friday 1/23/15 I went to early biometrics. The very same night (1/24/15) at 1 AM my I-485 case status changed to "Request for more evidence". I think this is quite odd, do you guys think it has anything to do with biometrics or is it just a missing information in my package?

I am worried, please share your thoughts!

Purely coincident, RFE can occur any time during process, even after you are interviewed. Most of RFE during AOS is about income, tax documents... Wait until you receive the hard copy.

Exactly. Nothing to worry about, it has nothing to do with your going to biometrics early.

Fun fact: my RFE was dated really close to my biometrics date too. I actually went on the day I was scheduled. It requested proof of my husband's current income - easy and not at all scary (though at the time I was freaking out about EVERYTHING)

Thanks for assurance guys, now I feel much better, I didn't include the original copy of my birth certificate, only put the translated one that I got from the consulate, is it common to receive RFE for that?

If it is certified from consulate, then it shouldn't be reason. Patient and wait for letter, guessing won't help anything.

Actually yes, it has the signature of the Vice Consul but they gave me two papers from the consulate, one is my original birth certificate, the other is the same thing but in English (I just submitted this one). I really hope it's something easy to fix, I included a lot of bona fide evidence such as joint bank account, rent agreement, proof of old address we lived together, letters from family/friends, photos, text messages. I checked my package again and couldn't figure it out, I guess I ll just have to wait, hope it doesn't take forever to get the letter :/

For translated documents, I think they want a copy of the original document as well as the translated copy. That might be it. Look, I know how it is to be freaking out about everything, but all you can really do is wait for it, and I am sure it won't be scary at all. You seem to have put a solid packet together, so you have nothing to worry about ;)

Thanks a lot, I will write it here when I receive the notice.

I received my RFE letter today and it states that my joint sponsor doesn't meet the income requirements. However, he clearly does. His income is 62, 742.00 annualy and the household size is 5 people. I really don't know what to send them since he already meets the requirement, please help me I am so frustrated.

P.S : I included 3 most recent IRS Tax Transcripts, paystubs, joint sponsor's birth certificate, proof of address, state ID. I don't know what they want me to send them.

How many paystubs did you send? They asked us for the last 6 months of pay. Also, I'm too lazy to do the math right now, so I'm taking your word for it that your sponsor meets the requirement for a household of 5...

We sent paystubs for 6 months, and tax transcript. I think the problem is my JS filed his tax jointly and they couldn't see his personal income in the tax transcript. In 864 instructions they say not to submit W-2 and other stuff along with Tax Transcript, now they are asking for them so I will have to submit the whole package again... ahhh USCIS.... :)
