Hi All,

My case is pending with NVC in Vermont center. My priority date is Jan, 2008 and NVC received my I-130 on Jan 4, 2009.

I used the chart for Vermont Center but got confused by the statement " However, if the office is experiencing a processing delay, you will find the filing date of the last case that the office completed before updating the chart."

Can anyone explain what exactly does it mean? In the chart, Processing Time Frame for I-130 petition for Alient relative under F2B category shows - September 3, 2012 but my case was received in 2009 by NVC. Then, why I didn't hear anything from NVC yet. Current PD is - 22nd May, 2008. It's not even a year in my case, still nothing from NVC.

Please advise.

Thanks

You can send an email to NVC or better yet call them.

You will need your USCIS receipt number or NVC case number.

Hello everyone,

NVC will only contact you when your PD is current. People under F2A category are also under same situation as you. But as you are under F2B the waiting period is higher for you.

You can find more about their experiences here

Vermont service center is simply approving or disapproving the petetions. After that the approved petition become pending at NVC untill the PD becomes current.
