New Delhi - Process Questions & "Follow-to-join" Questions

To those with experience, I have some questions regarding K-1 Process

as well as "follow-to-join" questions at the New Delhi Embassy.

1. Process is unclear. Doe the beneficiary receiving Packet 3 and Packet 4, both ?

2. The instructions for the two packets on their website refers to 2 documents DS-260 and DS-160.

Which is the correct one ? Or, do you fill one and submit and then receive the other packet and

fill the other form ?

3. How and when do you declare "follow-to-join" children ?

4. I understand "follow-to-join" children do not interview along with the beneficiary. How do they trigger

their need for an interview ?

5. Are follow-to-join children in the same DS-260/DS-160/both ? Or, do they fill their own ? Do they fill it

along with the beneficiary or do they fill it later ?

6. What documents are needed for a "follow-to-join" interview ? The instructions talk about the beneficiary's

interview. Do they take a copy of the beneficiary's K-1 visa with them ? What else ? What does the

petitioner provide for their interview ?

7. Packet says 2 sets of documents needed for the interview. If the child also goes to the same interview

with the beneficiary, do they need a seperate set of documents and forms - Affidavit of Support, supporting

documentation ?
