Japan Police Certificate Problem

The medical didnt ask for my french police certificate only the english one, also fyi the french certificate dont come in a sealed letter so mine is open and i will bring it at my interview

This makes me feel a lot better...if other countries police certificates aren't required to remain in an envelope then I'd be really surprised if they kicked up a fuss about my Japanese one. Thanks for sharing! Perhaps it's just Japan being super cautious/that's their procedure at the embassy over there.

I'll still be a little nervous until the interview is over though!

I think you will be fine! Plus I didnt kept the enveloppe of my french certificat as nothing but my address was on it, so I will give them like this.

Maybe it only need to be sealed for Japan embassy like other people say.

For future reference if anyone is in the same situation - the London embassy accepted my police certificate opened. They didn't even say anything it was not an issue. Having it sealed is no doubt a requirement for the embassy in Japan. Phew!

I am glad it worked out okay for you in the end! I also noticed that for me at my interview they only looked at my police certificates they didn't keep them which makes me think they won't be needed for AOS just for the visa which makes sense. I got my Greek Police Certificate translation licensed by the Greek Embassy even though on the US Embassy website there was no mention of needing to. All it said is bring a translation and the original. But I felt it was a good idea anyway to have the translation licensed as well. Also I bought copies of the certificates but didn't need those either.
