I do not see the DS-160 confirmation page listed on St. Luke's website, why did you bring, if I may ask?

http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml#kvisa

Hi everyone. Do we get a letter or something to tell us to setup medical appointment or we just can do once we submit the DS-160?

Thank you.

I'm done with my medical last week and all i can advice "you must really have long patience" i followed what the others have been advicing here, i arrived at 4am finished at 5:30pm for the first day. I'm not sure if the American embassy basically know how aweful SLEC systems is. They keep saying first come, first serve basis. But based on my experience i can 't literally see that pattern. It's very frustrating because as a Filipino we all know that St. Luke's really do offer great services, but SLEC really disappointed me BIGTIME! When you go to SLEC be prepared to experience the "FILIPINO STYLE" service, the frustration level is like obtaining NSO+NBI+PASSPORT all at ones!

DON'T GO THERE EARLY, you have to trust me on this!! I've learned my lesson that 's why on my second day i went there about 2pm for immunization and for the result, finished at 8:30pm. I feel bad for the people who went there as early as 6am and they're still there after i got my result, SLEC doesn't care for Elders and babies. They should have an exemption or a different lane for toddlers/kids and seniors. The 70 year old lady got her shots before me, got my results at 8:30pm but the poor old lady hasn't been called yet for the signature, just so you know u might probably wait for 3-4hours just to sign a piece of paper and wait for another couple of hours for the result.

Good luck! All i can say i'll NEVER GO BACK TO SLEC!

OK, thank you for the update, I will make a note of this. Do appreciate. Wish SLEC would put this on their website.

Maybe the DS-160 is required in the absence of the NVC MNL letter/email or USEM interview confirmation letter? For example, the people that do medical with the CEAC screenshot only? Perhaps SLEC would require the DS-160 so they have something official beyond a screenshot to release the sealed medical report.

We provided NVC MNL letter at first medical and USEM interview confirmation letter at second medical. We had to do two medicals because DOT. We were not asked by SLEC for our DS-160 either time.

It appears they are now stamping on the back or the receipt to bring a copy of the DS-160 confirmation the 2nd day (or later if doing sputum or DOT)

You'll find it at the back of the receipt on instructions for the releasing of the medical result. I brought mine, the guy at window F didnt't even asked for it he just took my 3 visa I.D.

Even with the baby book requirement, made 5 copies of it for immunization referrences but the doctor didn't even took a glance at it, she just took my words when i told her about my immunization history.

I agree that for your medical you should have a reallllllllllly long patience. But a couple of things I want to correct here and maybe a couple of tips. First day, is really first come, first serve basis until the Physical Exam part. There is a separate queue for men, women and children which makes total sense because the doctors would check different "things" for men, women and children. So when you go down to immunization review , it'll be first come, first serve basis but in the manner you went down from the physical exam. I noticed also that men physical exam are quicker that women ...so some guys are going to be served first in the immunization review.

Second day, it's not a first come, first serve basis but based on your first day exam results (whatever that means). I got there around 630 am and got my vaccine shot at 11 am. But I know a girl who arrived 3 hours later than me and got her vaccine later in the afternoon. So it's really a gamble if you come early, but I would suggest to still come early! If your results are all OK (which I know mine will be because I get regular physical exam from my company) then coming early will pay off.

However, the releasing of the results are really NOT first come, first serve basis. Totally makes sense because each applicant have different results so some applicants can have their results ASAP while others have to wait. However, I wish they would notify people when their papers are queued or being processed. I was waiting for my results at 11 am and only got called around 2 pm. They could have at least tell me if I can take my lunch.

And lastly, what we have experienced in SLEC is NOT a "Filipino Style" service..such thing does not exist and it is a disservice to other local establishments that provide good service. The correct term is "Philippine Government Style" because the employees are lazy, RUDE to locals (specially the guard at immunization area --Montenegro), manual process, disorganized, and does not give enough information to applicants. The security guards and SOME doctors have that air of arrogance about them which makes you feel that you owe them something. Typical Phil Govt style....

USEM and St Luke's officials should really take a look at the kind of service being provided by SLEC. I feel bad for other people who would have to go thru that process again in SLEC. Goodluck everyone and be patient.

I respect your opinion, but i would still stick to the "Filipino style" service. It's always not the government's fault. I just want to make it clear, i'm not saying FILIPINO'S in general are aweful in providing good service. There are some who really try hard to provide good service, but majority of us just doesn't care about the quality of service they provide.

Just like right now i have a problem with FedEx. I haven't receive my package yet that i was supposed to receive yesterday. From USA to China it went smoothly and fast transfer, but as soon as it gets here my package is just sitting around somewhere in Parañaque for almost 3days now. A FedEx delivery agent called me this afternoon saying he can't deliver my package because it's already too late that he shouldn't be taking overtime because the company doesn't even compensate him. I insisted that i need the documents ASAP he even told me that IF IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT THEN WE SHOULD HAVE SEND THE PACKAGE LAST YEAR. Should i still blame it to the Philippine Goverment style of bad service? The truth hurts, Filipino has the "Pwede na yan, ok lang yan, mamaya na yan" habit!

I think you misunderstood when I said "Philippine Government" style of bad service...what it meant is most of Philippine Government employees have a certain style of service that we can relate to the experience we had in SLEC. I'm not saying that the Philippine Government (for its corruption and all) should be blame. Maybe the reason is both service from PHL Government and SLEC are a requirement for their clients/applicants. And since their customers are required to get their service (with no other option), then they don't feel the need to provide a good service. And I have received very good service from Filipino employees from St Lukes, Makati Med, Bonifacio High Street stores, restos, comfort lounges attendant, hotel receptionist, parking boys, gasoline boys, etc. And I also have my fair share of bad service from Foreign employees when I was abroad. I think you should look at the establishment's policy and the way they handle business before blaming a certain race. As for your Fedex agent encounter, I think its legit for those Fedex employees to feel disgruntled if they are not getting paid for overtime. I dont know about you.... but if I work in a company and they aint paying me fairly, then the hell with them. Honestly though, if I was in that situation..I'll blame Fedex. They should pay their employees overtime or they should hire more staff so they have enough people to deliver stuff. For all we know, there might be only two of them in that facility.

Just to make a point, I sent a package to my fiancee via Fedex, there was no one around so they didn't left the package because it is tagged as important document. My fiancee called them and asked them to deliver it again to her house, but instead the Fedex agent said she has to wait tomorrow when they do another round of delivery. So in our case, Fedex have at fault here because we specified that it SHOULD be deliver in the afternoon when there are people around and second they acknowledge that it will be deliver in the afternoon. So maybe it's there is some loophole in the Fedex system. But I'm sure in that case, you won't call that service an "American style service".

Let's agree to disagree but there are a lot of foreigner who reads this forum and I have to stick up for my fellow Filipino that provide me very good service all year round. After all, we are known to be hospitable people. It's a shame that you have to look immediately at the person instead of the situation.

PS - You contradict yourself when you said "Filipinos in general are not awful in providing good service but majority of us dont care". Majority means generalization..and saying that there "Filipino style of service" is a generalization.
