i signed up on uscis website and it shows me that LAST UPDATED on my case was December 9 but when i put my receipt number at case status , it gives me last update August 8 when i request to correct my birth date , im very confused ,, what may be this update on December 9 ??? they may approve my case this time or what ,, please help me to understand because im very frustrated

Just relax,it means someone is touching your files,its a good sign that your case is moving..don't stress too much

No, it doesn't mean someone has touched your file in this case. It was a glitch that sent out a notification to everyone on December 9. I answered your question already in the July 2014 TSC thread.

thanks for your answer but what do you mean by a glitch ? can you explain more please?
