Hello, my wife is from Slovenia. We married on a K-1 visa back in November 2013. We filed in January of 2014 for I-485. She received her EAD card around June, but we are still waiting for an update on the greencard. Is there anyway to check the status at all?

We are looking forward to the greencard because we are too nervous about traveling on an AP and she would like to visit her family again soon. She is also considering continuing her education at a local college, but they are all asking for a greencard to sign up.

Also, wondering if there is anyone else here from Slovenia, and how long their wait time was!

Thanks!

I assume you received the interview waiver letter too? Probably after EAD? Then you have to wait 6 months to a year from that day.

Hi Mike

You can search for Slovenia here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/95-europe-eurasia-except-the-uk-and-russia/?prune_day=100&sort_by=Z-A&sort_key=last_post&topicfilter=all

I haven't been able to find any topic, but there are quite few of us from the ties to the neighboring countries. Not sure if that would be helpful.

I would highly suggest to fill your timeline. That way peeps here can much easier help, and also you'll be able to easily sign up to follow the topics on the country of origin - Slovenia.

*Update*

Looked back at all my paperwork....we received a problem processing our forms due to tax issues in March 2014. I didn't include tax forms because I wasn't applicable. I send them a letter of exemption immediately a couple days later.

I used the receipt number on their website for case status yesterday, but it just mentions that they would send an update in April although I haven't received anything yet. I did receve the EAD for my wife (June 2014) though which was good.

**Crossing my fingers something happens soon!**

@1stLoveRedo

Thanks for the advice, I will check those out (neighboring country stories).
