Sam07123 - Has your status page online been updated to read "Sent to the Department of State?" Although the NOA2 says this our page did not update until 9:30 PM last night. Now I will call NVC in a weeks time.

Call them! They give case numbers on the phone. Might have to call several times to get through, and when getting through you will wait in que, but if you set aside a few hours one day you will get through and get the case number. I called a Friday evening and got through after 60-90 minutes. Maybe a Friday evening is a good time to call specifically, being a Friday evening when other people do other things instead of calling the NVC. I dont know...

I DID CALL ALREADY TWICE.

Some people clearly have difficulty reading. :)

Anyway, I'd wager your case will be at NVC sometime next week. You really don't have to worry until you've reached the month mark since your NOA2.

Based on other TSC cases - it really could be any day now. Someone said in the June thread that calling first thing 7:00 am cuts the wait time to speak with someone. Good luck.

Yeah I tried that but it doesn't do me any good getting to talk to someone when the case isn't there haha but okay I'll wait till next week before I start panicking. Thanks a ton :)

Hahaha - yeah I know. Just thinking you'd want to know if you're going to be checking in regularly - I know I will be after a week's time. All the best.

Because it is a closer step to getting the visa. Why wouldn't people be wanting their number quickly?

Just wondering why most of the people here wer such in a hurry to get nvc no?

Because it is a closer step to getting the visa. Why wouldn't people be wanting their number quickly?

Because it's the next step, your vigilance is required because things can always go wrong and create delays, and the CEAC tracking requires the Case number.

When NVC tells you the date they sent it to the embassy you can also track it using the DHL tracking trick, details here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/530927-how-to-track-your-packet-from-nvc-to-the-us-embassy/
