So yay! I had my interview in Montreal on the 16th of Jan and had a long wait (2 hours) for a short interview (5-10 mins tops) and they said Welcome to America. I see Loomis has started the shipping process today, so I should have my Passport and Visa in hand by the end of next week.

Now the time comes to work on more packing and sort out all the monetary things that I shall have to deal with before moving.

Any tips for driving myself and my stuff to a POE? Is there anything specific aside from form 3299 I would need to bring? I was thinking about calling the Border Patrol and figuring out exactly what they want, but would like a little feedback before I go down that route. Would it be better to use a shipping company that does this often instead?

Specifics: Roughly 2 rooms of stuff, attempting to fit into a 6' x 12' Uhaul trailer (if it'll fit...) and towing it over there. My friend would be driving me (I'm one of those people without a drivers license) the 8 hours from my city to Louisville. Not going to be crossing for about two weeks, though.

Thanks for your time/thoughts/help.

uhaul trailer, all that is needed is a manifest, not any special forms, if you accompany your goods.

By a manifest do you mean like itemized with number of units, etc?

ala. 15 sweaters, 200 DVDs, 50 videogames, etc.

Or more along the lines of number of boxes with such items, and more specifics for electronic equipment?

ala. 1 box sweaters, 2 boxes dvds, 1 box video games, 1 tv, 1 monitor, 1 console etc.

There's no real information that I've found (or perhaps I'm not looking hard enough?) about this kind of thing.
