Been waiting since September, no EAD, great going USCIS!

Honestly, every time I see someone get their EAD who filed way after we did, I just get angry. I know it's all random and all and I'm happy for people who get their stuff together, but we are suffering because of how long it's taking. We filed September 21st and there hasn't even been so much as an update on the case. We got an RFE for income requirements for the AOS in November. I filed an inquiry about our case a couple weeks ago and they said our case is still within the 90 day processing time of the RFE response (Nov 21st). So wait, the whole process RESETS after an RFE? Really? There are people who have filed months after us who already have their EADs and are on their merry way to getting a job. I just have to vent this fact.

Not RESET at all, my EAD was approved a week after I submitted my co-sponsor tax transcripts.

Sorry to hear it's taking so long , I'm a september filler, and other people from September who got RFE once they sent what they asked for their EAD got approved in a few weeks. I haven't heard about reset..... But I've heard about the case being paused, maybe that's the situation.

You had the biometrcis appointments already right???

See, Nancy Nguyen got her's weeks after the RFE response. So it doesn't reset. I'm writing my congresswoman because this is ridiculous.
My wife had her biometrics way back in mid-late October.

You haven't seen the Potential Interview Waiver Club, that adds another 6 months from the date of the letter to getting your Green Card.

You had an RFE, so they probably paused processing your application until they received the documents.

If you receive an RFE for initial evidence on the I-485 then the 90 day clock for any I-131 or I-765 you filed too gets reset. The 90 days start over from the day they receive your RFE response.

If you receive an RFE on your I-485 that isn't regarding initial evidence then the timer is only suspended until they receive your RFE response, it doesn't get reset.

That makes a little better sense then. We are at 64 days after the time of the RFE response.
