I'm actually freaking out.

At my medical, they asked for the A-number. I took the one on my I-129 approved petition (204......) ( I did not had the NOA in hand and fiance was at work).

There is a case saying fos USCIS use only. the A-number starts by 204...... .At the page 2, Infomations about your Fiance, section 11, it starts by 206... On my I-797 (NOA 2) it starts by 206....

I will bring both document with me on Friday at the interview, but could this cause any problem??? I'm affraid it will get us in trouble. We've been waiting for so long and yet we still encounters problems..

You should be ok. Medicals are attached to your case using the case number. Make sure to explain that to first person who collects your documents at the interview and to the CO. Be sure to ask if you'd be ok. CO are mostly the best ones to ask questions of and best opportunity to do so. Best of luck Friday. I am sure you'll be posting with good news.

Hello,

I'm glad for everyone who has made it this far. I've been following this thread since my NOA1 in July 2014! Finally, we got approval from the embassy and are just waiting for them to give the visa to us.

When they fly over to the US, is there a special form to fill out? Or should my fiancee just go to the immigrations line and show them the K1 visa? The immigration officer will then fill out the I-94 form electronically? Or is this something my fiancee needs to fill out and present to them?

The other question I had was what is the proper order of getting a SSN and a marriage certificate? If we get married before filing for SSN, will that cause issues? I know we are supposed to wait about 10 days before filing for SSN so that our I-94 is registered in the system. However, I'd like to get married as soon as possible (before the 10 days). Will it cause any problems? Or do I simply go back and change the name on the SSN card later?

Thank you to everyone!

I can tell you about arriving here....... There will be an envelope that you get from the embassy that shouldn't be opened. You will give that to the officer at the point of entry in US....... They will tell you the rest

Upon arrival you go to nonimmigrant line. They'll open the envelope and ask u to sit in a waiting area Where they'll process the envelope and create a file, stamp passport and write the date and A number by the stamp. The indicate the deadline by which u must get married.

You can file for SSN after wedding. That's what we are doing. Yes. Name change would be part of the procedure but with so much paperwork in our hands I barely notice one more item on my to do list. Good luck.
