We were also unclear on whether it was necessary, but we just did another one last month just in case. It might vary by embassy, but on our embassy's website they tell you only if your Notice has expired is it required (that would be four months from the date of NOA2) so we probably don't need it, but I am taking it anyway.

The lady who collected my documents before giving them to the officer said it would be 90 days. Not sure if that's Montreal only, but that might be a bit safer?

Ok thank you... I'd better get him to send me an updated one..... fast !

I would have a recent one within 30 days prior to interview. Better to have one than get to the interview and they request it!! We have done a recent one to take with us for his interview.

The lady taking my files at the interview specifically said 90 days. Just in case someone already has a valid one. Saves you some money in expedited mail.

Awesome news! Now the only thing left is the fun part: the collection of all the documents and knowing the timeline is now in your hands, no one else is controlling the speed of how fast you can get the visa but you :)

Good news, you say? We can do that. Loomis just sent us an email with the Waybill #. Should be in their HQ between midnight and 1am, so we can easily pick it up tomorrow or by Wednesday at least. Seems I'll be driving down to Samantha on Thursday! :D

HI guys - So nice reading all the wonderful bits of good news after a few days away. Thank you fore the POE well wishes. Kevin sailed through without any bother last Thursday. He had updated Letters of Intent with him at the time of the interview but the officer did not take them... not sure if this is standard or just Dublin. Also, they did not take my complete tax return only the first two pages and they did not take any other supporting info for the I134 such as the appraisal for my home. All the best.

NVC send the case to US embassy where beneficiary lives. Then it really depends on embassy. You should send everything so that it reaches to beneficiary just before interview so all dates are fresh . But again depending on country, you may get a quick interview date and may have to plan accordingly. Please fill in your time line so we also get an idea. Thanks.

Call NVC and get your case# that is your next step. From there they will send your case to your Embassy.

Awesome I like the good news! My application has been on a little standstill and I kept seeing this thread going further and further down on the list so I was starting to think everything was standing still for everyone :P

I returned to Sweden last night, unbelievably jet-lagged I slept 9 hours... Finally paid for my visa today. My bank wouldn't let me do it while in the states, don't know why. Now I am just waiting for confirmation email from the embassy so I can schedule interview. Hotel booked in Stockholm so I can go to my medical on Monday. Glad everything is moving forward again.

I'm glad to see that people here are starting to head over to the states and people are receiving their visas! Good luck to everyone on your journey! :)
