Hey everyone,

I have a question that I am hoping some of you can answer. So I emailed the embassy in Tunis multiple times inquiring about our petition and I also called and spoke with a consular officer...and I guess that expedited our interview. So my fiance's interview is scheduled for next week on Thursday. We never received packet 3. We only received the interview letter and the letter about the medical exam. So my fiance managed to get his medical scheduled for Monday, but he doesn't think he will get his police record in time. He filed for it on April 1 because we thought our interview would be in May...not mid-April. So my question is this: Will they interview my fiance without having his police record or will they reschedule it? I'm planning on calling the embassy on Monday to ask for more information, but I thought I could see if anyone else had a similar situation occur while I'm waiting for Monday to roll around. Thanks for all of your help!

We had to sign a Statement of Readiness which states we have all the required documents, per the list they supplied, in hand for the interview. Our consulate would not assign an interview date until they received this statement. Clearly, your consulate has a different process so you are wise to contact them directly via phone or email.

All depends on the Country. Some will do the interview and put you in AP until you provide final documents, others will not. You need to call the Embassy and ask them directly.

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

I called the American Embassy in Tunis today and spoke to a consular officer. I was told that my fiance can still do his interview on Thursday and as soon as they receive his police records then he will be issued a visa! I am so thrilled!

Your Embassy is very easy then. Our Embassy will deny you if all paper work is not present the day of the interview.

Best wishes to you both.

I think they are pretty easy in Tunis. When my fiance applied for a tourist visa back October he was denied (which is apparently very common) and the officer told him to apply for a K1 visa. So I hope these are all good signs.

Hey all,

Any London embassy's goers on here....

We sent our readiness off on March 21st... Which was a Saturday, so I'm sure they did not get it until the following Monday....

It is now April 13th, and we have not received anything regarding our interview... I just tried to call the DOS and their systems are down so they couldn't check our case status... How long does it usually take for them to assign an interview date ?

Please Help!!!! Thank you!!

Come join us in the UK over here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/542752-progress-thread-for-tsc-filers-now-between-nvc-and-interview-stage/page-18

This is the current discussion on the thread.

Did your CEAC status reflect an update after you submitted your readiness form? We submitted ours yesterday and there was an update today, which we presume was initiated by the readiness form reflecting on the system. It seems to take a couple of weeks after submission of the form for the letter to be generated.
