Received Package 3 today :) I have emailed the embassy with questions about my passport and what kind of military records they want. Other than that, I think I only have to finish the DS thing, schedule medical and schedule interview. Seve needs to fix the affidavit of support and then we're done.

Yes you should hopefully hear something very soon :) I was surprised we got it so fast considering they received it right before Easter and then yesterday was also a holiday in Sweden so the embassy was closed. My first prediction when they sent it out was that they would not have received it until today and we would still be waiting for our package 3. It's amazing how everything moves so fast now!

Friends, we need advise here. We received email that was supposed to contain packet 3 on April 1st. But it had no attachment (April 1st hmmmm). since then I have emailed embassy 4 times and my fiancee has emailed them 3 times but no reply at all.

1. Does that usually happen that they don't respond for that long?

2. Did we tick them off or are there additional steps they are taking which is keeping them from responding?

My fiancee has completed medical and have all the docs so she requested an interview date via email yesterday and this morning the CEAC status update date changed to today's date but we received no interview appointment and the status is still at READY.

3. Could that date change be because they received medical reports? (In kuwait the embassy employee picks up all the medical reports from doctors) Did your update date change after medical? Or is it because they worked on assigning her an appointment?

4. If they don't reply and have no phone number whatsoever what can I do to reach them?

5. Is it too early to ask my senator to intervene?

6. Is there any department I can escalate this issue of them not replying emails while they know that it is THE ONLY WAY to reach them?

We have completed DS 160 already. Are missing something?

Abbumimapa - Would probably be good if you also posted this in your embassy portal. The answers to your questions would be embassy specific. For instance, the process at the US Embassy Dublin is very different to the one you describe above. Good luck finding answers.

I agree. Unfortunately, can't find many people from Kuwait. But thanks for the reply though.

Question: Do we schedule the medical exam or does the embassy schedule the medical? If so, can we schedule the medical before receiving packet 3?

I am not sure if this is also one of those things that should be asked in your embassy specific forum or if it's the same for everyone but I do believe you schedule it yourself. The embassy wants you to wait to schedule your medical until you have received the package 3. You could probably still schedule it if you're sure the embassy has it. They probably want to make sure people don't do their medical before the embassy has received your file as they will receive your medical results and then have no file to place it with. At least that is my theory of how it works and I can be wrong.
