We were so excited to receive our packet 4 from the Vancouver, Canada consulate with instructions to set up our interview......and then first available interview date June 23rd! Seriously?!? 90 days to get an interview date. Things were going so fast once we got past the TSC and now it's back to the waiting game :(

Is it possible to contact the embassy and ask them to consider you for an earlier appointment in the event of something opening up in the interim?

Hello Everyone!

I havent' been on VJ in a little while. Collecting all of the paperwork for the US Counsulate kept me pretty busy and anxious. I'm finally able to report that I have an interview date - April 7!!

It's bitter sweet becuase our original wedding date was supposed to be April 2nd (our 5th year anniversary). But either way, at least we'll get to be together soon. We've successfully changed the wedding date and now all that's left to do is wait for the interview and (prayerfully) the visa. I also have to pack all of my things and book my flight. As soon as I get the visa I'll be on my way to him!

Stay encouraged everyone! It's soo good to see lots of cases moving along. We're all almost there :)

7/24/2015 - Sent AOS/EAD/AP


7/30/2015 - NOA1 for AOS/EAD/AP


9/21/2015 - still no biometrics appointment...


9/9/2015 - 1st service request (inquiry)


10/6/2015 - 2nd service request (inquiry)


10/16/2015 - EAD/AP APPROVAL via email!!! (approved on 16/10)

Is it possible to contact the embassy and ask them to consider you for an earlier appointment in the event of something opening up in the interim?

How is the baby doing?

I have actually done that very thing and received an email back from the Vancouver consulate this morning saying that their appointment system gives out the earliest possible date, that their appointment times go very quickly and there is no process in place to have it moved up any sooner so I guess we are just stuck with waiting.

The baby is doing great! Thanks for asking. She is just the most precious thing and it's going to be hard for my fiance to be separated from her for so long.

We finally got the call letter!!! My Fiancé goes at 7:30 in the morning to drop off call letter. Then goes back at 2:00 (Wednesday) to pick up his packets 3 & 4 and we will know our interview date!! So excited!!

You need to get your case number from NVC. Then you can track it on CEAC website.

What wonderful news!! Exciting days, after all this waiting, things are starting to happen. What happens next? Once you have the date, can you book to go to Ghana? Just think about it: soon you will be with your sweetheart and then you bring him home :D So excited for you!

hi VJ members , my case is READY on CEAC website , should i wait for the US embassy letter or i should fill out the form DS-160 and book interview appointment ?

one more question , what is the difference between packet 3 and packet 4 ?
