Don't worry! Our case was in AP (I didn't get that message on the phone, but the case status tracker), and I was told by others on the forums that it's standard. For us it was only a couple of days, then they sent it on to the embassy. :)

Have you been assigned a case number? The period between having a case number assigned and being sent to the consulate is referred to as administrative processing. The length of time here depends on the country that the K1 applicant is coming from.

How did you see that on the case tracker... ours only says at NVC ... does it replace that if it is in AP

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Our case has In Transit since last Friday. Has anyone else's been in transit for that many days?

Yes - It took exactly one week for our case to arrive in Dublin. Not all files are sent via DHL - ours was simply mailed.

It will continue to say at NVC until they actually send it out to the Embassy. Then it will say In Transit.

We just got a call that Kevin's interview has been moved UP by a day. At this point in the process you would think we were told to come a week early - every day less in moving through the process is a blessing. Hope everyone gets their next bit of news soon!!!

oh wow….i'm in shock. I haven't been on here in some time, and need to update my timeline. However, my fiancé had her interview this week. Everything went well and they said at the embassy congratulations, should take a day for the visa to be issued (they have the passport). I checked online and it's showing administrative processing.

Is that necessarily a bad thing?!?!? I so hope not.
