Did everyone get his/her case number yet? NVC arrived at embassy? Doing medicals? Interviews?

Almost all of the above! :) I'm excited to report that my fiancé had his medical exam yesterday, and received Packet 4 today. He was able to schedule his interview for a week from today. Seeing the light at the end of this looooooong tunnel!

My case is at embassy in Addis. The embassy asked us a letter from NVC ..... I am assuming packet 3. And the interview day will be on it. Then after can do the police report, medical....... Am hoping my fiancée gets the mail tomorrow

Thanks. The embassy told us to wait for packet 3 before making payment........ The interview date is fixed from Nvc apparently :)

Again, I'm not sure about Addis but the language on NVC that says an interview date is set is not accurate. For k-1s the beneficiary's embassy/consulate sets the appointment - then again we know that there are significant differences from one embassy to another. Hope you get your date in Packet 3! Knowing the date makes you one step closer - good luck!

Hello all,

I have a question as my fiancé is here and we want to try setting up the interview appointment (Yay!)

it is unclear about fees and we've been looking. We need to pay for I-134??

And does all the fees have to be paid BEFORE interview or can we pay it the same day? He is currently calling NVC to try and get an answer. He also sent an email to the consulate, but we have not received and answer yet.

Our consulate is montreal.

Which number are you all calling to get the NVC? I just read on their website that they have set up a temporary public inquiry line (202) 485-7600 for non-immigrant visas. Now by definition, I guess the K1 is called non-immigrant, but I know it's also treated as an immigrant visa in some phases, so I'm a little unsure which number we should try. Our NOA2 was February 18, so I'm rather hoping our petition will move on soon...

Our case has been at READY for a week but my fiancé has yet to receive Packet 3 (unusually comes in a couple of days from "Ready" in Ireland). I emailed consulate on Tuesday and received reply today that they emailed it to me on the 26th!!! Never received it - so frustrating. All these weeks to do this (send to NVC) two weeks to do that (send to Dublin) another week to (arrive at embassy via regular mail) are really adding up.

Congrats to those moving along towards our share goal of a K-1!!!

Wishing those dragging along a swift boot in the case file to get moving faster!!!

I feel you!!!! I have been at NVC for 16 days!!!! I am so over this entire process!!! It's enough to make a person get on meds...hahaha
