Our case is at the Montreal Embassy. We've done Packet 3, and paid the fee, and printed packet 4. We should be able to book the interview tomorrow, and he'll be able to book his medical then.

I got my case number but NVC has not sent my case to Ghana yet. Today is the 16th day it has been at NVC.

What is the use of 'invoice ID' that NVC gave me?

I'm told we will need that when we go to pay the fee. Some embassies require payment in advance of interview - maybe you have to enter it then. In Ireland we pay on the day of the interview so doesn't seem like we would need it but NVC told me we would.

Our case has been at READY for a week but my fiancé has yet to receive Packet 3 (unusually comes in a couple of days from "Ready" in Ireland). I emailed consulate on Tuesday and received reply today that they emailed it to me on the 26th!!! Never received it - so frustrating. All these weeks to do this (send to NVC) two weeks to do that (send to Dublin) another week to (arrive at embassy via regular mail) are really adding up.

Congrats to those moving along towards our share goal of a K-1!!!

Wishing those dragging along a swift boot in the case file to get moving faster!!!

My case is at embassy in Addis. The embassy asked us a letter from NVC ..... I am assuming packet 3. And the interview day will be on it. Then after can do the police report, medical....... Am hoping my fiancée gets the mail tomorrow

Not sure about Addis with Packet 3 Packet 4 process but customarily Packet 3 gives you procedure for medical and lists various documents you will need to send in, in advance or bring with you to the interview. Packet 4 is when you typically get the actual interview date.

My actual timeline is fine. It's my signature I flubbed.

From reading the forums, our Consulate is really bad about sending out the Packets. People have gotten them after their interviews. But their checklists and everything are on their website, so we used those.

My fiancé pickup an envelope from the embassy, that has an interview date, medical forms and i believe, checklist of what to bring to the interview.

Is that the packet 3?

if your case has arrived at the embassy, check ceac website with your NVC case # and watch the status dates.. send an email to the embassy following the right procedure for emailing the consulate and ask for when to pick up the packet..my fiancé went to the embassy with the email reply to pick up the "packet "
