That's very good. Our approval was the 15th and shipped to NVC 23rd. You're off to a good start with NVC!

I like to think I hassled them so much that they just said "Oh my God, get this woman's petition OUT OF HERE."

You won't need to wait for the letter to get your case number and get the ball rolling on your end. Your fiance won't be able to do the interview until the consulate receives the packet and ships him his paperwork.. however with the case number your fiance should be able to schedule the medical. Our NOA2 was January 23, and TSC shipped our case to the NVC on January 27... I am going to start calling the NVC in about 2-3 weeks asking what my case number is. They should give it to you over the phone - you can do the same.

I already got my case number on the 22, but it still says "At NVC" on the website. (that's is what I'm anxiously waiting, for it leaves NVC).

We have to wait for the interview date before schedule the medical, that's because Rio consulate only do k1 interviews on Tuesdays which means we have no clue when the interview could be, also the consulate is the one who pick the date. So far, we think the interview can happen on April since people who got noa2 on December are being schedule on March. I wish it was simple, but looks like our consulate isn't that practical.

I waited 8 business days for calling. :)

It's interesting how much of a difference there is in the way consulates process K1s. The standard package seems quite similar but how they get processed; interview, medical, etc., seem to vary quite a bit. Good luck.

That's great you already have your number! Getting anxious for the same - I spoke with a nice gentleman this morning who said it's taking about 5 weeks from the approval date on NOA2. He did suggest checking in weekly because sometimes it's quicker - looks like you're one of the sometimes. Congrats!

Ah okay. I forget sometimes about the annoying differences between the consulates. London we can schedule the medical as long as we have the case number. Only after the medical is done will London schedule an interview.

Glad you at least got the case number out of the way, hope it's sent off soon!

When my fiance first tried a man told him that would take 35 business day. He called again on the next day and a nice lady told him our case number, I was following June approvals and most of them got a case number after this period of time, 7 to 10 business day. So it's totally worth it check once a week after reach 7 business day ^_^ . Thanks God after TSC things move quickly.

I am not bothering with a bank letter for the I-134. Reading through the numerous threads, USCIS's own directions for the I-134 and more, it's not required unless you are trying to supplement your normal salary/paycheck with savings. If you have a sufficient job with more than the poverty guideline and can provide W-2/taxes/paystubs/letter from employer, you really don't require the bank statement. Their instructions say to choose which method is correct based on your situation, and since many consulates allow substitutions for a normal job - ie. savings, bonds, interest, mutual funds, etc. the bank statement is needed.

I am not sending one for my fiance. I will be sending a signed letter from my HR director stating my salary and that it is a permanent position, my last year of paystubs and the last two years of W-2 and tax returns. PNC has a habit of taking a long time and it's never quite as efficient as it should be. I can't say I've ever had much trouble with PNC but lately I am having a few issues.

Granted, a lot of this is also consulate based. Some are stricter on what you need and some people like to load up their evidence, especially if they haven't been together for very long, stuff like that. I wouldn't be surprised though that they gave you such a document. :(

Thank you! That helped a lot. Since this letter is on the I-134 instructions I thought it was required. We're all good with the poverty guideline and he already have Vanguard letter for his savings. So I guess I won't worry about this letter anymore, but I think I 'll e-mail the consulate and ask about it, just in case.

It surprised me when my fiance sent a picture of that letter, like in how world a document can be like that? I still can't believe such big company like PNC can give such hard time for a simple letter with so simple informations. oh well, banks... anyway

Thanks again :)

Well, our NOA2 arrived today.. TSC is pretty speedy here, we were just approved on January 23. Unfortunately there is a typo in the NOA2. I contacted TSC and they raised an inquiry. The NOA2 just says 'was forwarded to the listed consulate', but no consulate or NVC/DOS was listed. This isn't a big deal though, they will probably reissue our NOA2. I plan to keep both. The agent said that our petition was in fact shipped on Tuesday to the Department of State, the NOA2 just has a clerical error. I will be keeping on top of that and looking to call the NVC on Tuesday. :)
