So this just happened: checked status and it says "Ready." WHAAAAAT? It only said "In Transit" as of last night! I'm a bit confused... but I'll take it! After TSC's snail pace, this is making my head spin. In a good way. :)

AWWW...That is so great!!! It will continue to make your head spin, we are in the fast lane now!! LOL

It's been 60+ days since approval and our case has not been received by NVC. Besides calling USCIS and the NVC several times, emailing nvcresearch@state.gov, and contacting the USCIS ombudsman, we have contacted our local Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson's office who will send a Congressional Inquiry after they receive our Privacy Release Form. Wish us luck. ;-)

I sent the official NOAs papers i received and copies of the petition packet to my fiancé in Ghana through USPS international priority express last Friday and now, i am regretting it. The mail is sitting in "customs"... i wonder why a mail in an envelope will be sitting in customs for.

I regret not using DHL.. Does my fiance need the form I-797 ( NOA1 & NOA2) at the interview?

We have the same problem in Brazil, everything sits in "customs" more time than it should. DHL is expensive but at least you know will get there in time. My fiance sent me an envelope on January 30th same as yours and nothing yet.

About NOA1 & NOA2 see what Ghana consulate request. So far for what I know you going to need NOA2 for AOS only.

Have you opened an inquiry? It is common for mails and packages to get "lost" in Ghana so i started a Claim with USPS yesterday so that they keep their eyes on it and prevent any "magical disapperance" at Customs..

I wish you luck.. hopefully, and i pray those mails get to thwir destinations

I sent a package to my Fiancé last Saturday through USPS they only gave me a customs number not a tracking number. Every time I send my honey something there is an issue. I should have used DHL, however I sent no documents I will hand deliver those (lol).

I would send a copy of the NOA-2. If he doesn't receive the packet you sent then I would send another copy to him through DHL.

As for packet 3, they could mean this site: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/interview/prepare.html. Halfway down the page you can select your consulate and get a pdf file with instructions. A little further down the page there's a link to a page that lists the documents you need to bring with you to the interview. I contacted my embassy (way ahead of time) and asked for this information so I could start preparing early, and that's the website they sent me to. I'm afraid I don't know anything about DS-2001 though, sorry.

My NOA2 was Feb 10 but NVC still don't have my case.

What can I do?

Call the NVC. USCIS never updated my case, but I called the NVC and they gave me a case number.
