I know I shouldn't be complaining at this point but we're stuck with holidays! Omg all this waiting is driving me nuts. Consulate close for American and Brazilian holidays, which means they will just open next Thursday! I hate Carnival.

I understand exactly what you mean!! I have been waiting for USCIS to send my case to NVC it will be two weeks Tuesday!

I just called USCIS and ask about my case being sent to NVC. I was told once approved your case is automatically sent to NVC. He sent me to a Tier 2 officer to find out more info and why it has not been sent out. If it has they can tell me when. So I am waiting on a call back.

Totally understand - there was no way of knowing how many minor annoyances among the large one (TSC) we would be experiencing when we submitted the I129f package so very long ago. We were engaged in early May but never submitted the package until early July, what were we thinking!?!

If you haven't already - check out the thread that is compiling TSC K1 process (or lack there of) stories to present to a writer for the NYT on Monday. Here's the tumbler link where they are being posted (names changed to protect the innocent). The one to the White House is very thorough.

I had no idea this process would be so hard and frustrating when we filed in July. I am so happy my fiancé is patient because TSC has made me have no patients at all.

USCIS did call me back and I was told to call NVC next week to see if my case has been received. He said it can take up to 15 days for NVC to receive cases. He still couldn't tell me if my case has left or is sitting at USCIS. That is all I wanted to know! I wait until next week and then I will call NVC and if they don't have my case I will call USCIS back.

Thank you for the link I will check it out.

I got the conclusion that after TSC our tolerance for waiting is almost absent. Again, we have no choice but wait.

I just found out that I can fill up DS160 with my case number that brought my good mood back lol, I'll do it this weekend.

I went to take my vaccination booster for tetanus but they didn't allowed me just because it wasn't expired yet only after Feb 25. Like, really?

So frustrating - re: booster. We completed DS160 right after we got the case number but not every consulate/embassy wants you to do this so you have to check. We are 100% ready for the interview - we just need the bloody file to get to Dublin. Originally we were hoping for interview and visa over my winter break from college, now were are hoping for it over my spring break but that window is closing quickly. I plan to beg Dublin but I can't even get down on my knees until the file arrives. :bonk: I keep telling myself we could have way worse problems!

That's great and yes I would get the DS-160 that is one less thing you will have to worry about. It's always something...just a little set back on the vaccination but you can go back after the 25th. Your right at the finish line hang in there it's almost over...well this part of the process. :)

that's great you don't need to wait for doing your stuff!

Your spring break is by April/May?(I'm sorry I'm not familiar with those breaks lol) As slow as Rio is we might get our interview date on April and most likely moving to U.S on May. So I would think your process may end before ours. Since you guys are 100% ready to interview and you're able to schedule it.

That's great and yes I would get the DS-160 that is one less thing you will have to worry about. It's always something...just a little set back on the vaccination but you can go back after the 25th. Your right at the finish line hang in there it's almost over...well this part of the process. :)

I think I'll just come back there for vaccination later next month. I need flu shot too but isn't season for that yet so I'm hoping they will start it by end of next month or april since winter will just started here. Thank you for the nice words! ^_^

I just read that USCIS is having issues with updating status. A couple posted no updates no text or email but their Senator received a letter stating they were approved on Feb 10th. What is going on here? Maybe there is a glitch in the system and it isn't showing updates online. However I called USCIS and they couldn't even tell me if my case was still there or sent to NVC. I can't stress over it I just have to sit back patiently and wait...not easy to do.

I'd love to know and why did the IGOR list stop getting updated!!?!

I could be wrong, but I think that petitions are getting approved this week, but that there is a problem with the USCIS site updating the statuses, and that's why there haven't been any timeline updates. I didn't receive any kind of notification from USCIS, but they sent a letter to my senator, whom I had submitted an inquiry to earlier, saying that my petition had been approved Feb 10th.
