Surnames and I-129F and G-325A

I searched and have seen that this topic has been addressed before---but no real consensus. For Latin style surnames (First, Middle, Father's Surname, Mother's surname), is it best to go "American style" and use *only* the first surname or to try to squeeze both surnames into the one line of the forms? Specifically, the G-325A has extremely limited space for this, but the I-129F has room.

His (and our our--I have one only from him and one we wrote together and signed when we were together a few weeks ago--side question, submit separate letters or the one?) letter of intent is signed with his full surname. The evidence that I'm "front-loading" all use his full name. I think it would look weird if they don't match up. But I also can see getting "dinged" for putting two names in a space where only one is requested. I have seen a suggestion to use only the father's surname and address the issue in the cover letter----but this also sounds like calling attention to a problem where there really shouldn't be one.

Yes, I am overthinking this but I can't help it and I can't seem to find a definitive answer, and I like definitive answers. Probably too much for my own good.

And because I can't help but complain: what are they thinking? Seriously? the majority of individuals in this hemisphere are named according to this tradition, and lord knows how many others globally. This is government agency that by its nature deals with foreign-born people. Plus a good number of naturalized and even born Americans use this tradition. Can't just throw in an optional second box for a surname? ::shakes head::

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

Use the entire surname...meaning both last names. Put both of the last names in the last name box.
