Well that was one b!tch of a day at work!!!

Had to meet with the big boss to discuss my leaving and how I'll wrap things up. Lemme tell ya you could cut the tension with a freakin knife!!

Apparently we're supposed to give ONE MONTH notice. Sorry charlie but I've only been there a little over a year and I've never heard of such a thing. The job I'm going to involves my doing the monthly closes so I have to be there asap since the guy i'm replacing walked out on the job so I'm only giving two weeks notice.

Mind you I have one audit report to finish up and everything should be done by tomorrow insha Allah but still I get the whole "you're backing us into a corner" speech.

Usually when you leave some place aren't they super nice so that you don't walk out completely????? GEESH.

Ok rant over. Finally talked to my honey tonight. I miss him more now because since his cell phone was stolen we can't text each other four times a day anymore. I can't wait for him to get another one. Unfortunately right now cash is tight since he just bought a boatload of product to sell so we'll have to wait a bit.

I'm going to be booking my trip hopefully at the end of this week for mid July. Was gonna do August but I can't wait. lol. Gonna go purely to Alexandria this time. I want to stay here:

And plan on planting myself right here for the majority of the time:

You're killing me. I MISS ALEXANDRIA!!! We spent a lot of time there and want to retire there someday far down the road. I miss it so much.

Oh we're totally retiring there!!!!! I agreed to that before we got married.

JP did you file your taxes yet? Maybe you'll get a refund that would pay for the airfare!

Taxes hahhahahahah! I'm single, no kids, no property, I file them on April 15th because I pay every year! But finances is not the issue..its family politics. My family won't let me go, his family would flip if I came without my family. Being an arab sucks sometimes.

If I remember i think it is about 3 hours. i do remember it was very easy and simple drive.

ok. gonna try to sleep now but my mind is spinning. boston to alexandria, after looking at about ten different websites: orbitz, expedia, travelocity, hotwire, priceline, airgorrilla, cheaptickets, lufthansa, british airways, ailitalia, is averaging $1,800!!! for the dates I want, whereas the same dates landing in cairo is averaging about $1,200.

3 hours on a train from cairo to alexandria right after traveling 14 hours.........................both ways since i'd have to depart from cairo................is it worth $600?

tough call. I'm only there for a total of seven days so every hour is precious, though at least we'd be together on the train.

have i mentioned i hate making decisions? i'm sooo much better with someone giving me a project that is logical. lol

can you rent a car and just make the drive to alexandria...maybe after spending one night in cairo to acclimate from teh jet lag a bit?
