It went great. She went in, got her immunizations, and they gave her a CD and some papers and off she went. CFO tomorrow then interview the following day. My only concern is they didn't give her the sealed results so apparently they'll send them over to the embassy. I just hope they arrive in time for her interview. As far as your parents, from everything I've read here, if you made it this far and they told you to come down with your documents, you're pretty much in the clear. I set up an interview prior to the medical to eliminate any more delays. My opinion is go ahead and book an interview date, maybe a least a few days after they go to slec. Worst comes to worst, you are allowed to reschedule twice without penalty (after initial appointment). Good luck with everything!

That's good news. My fiancée was also given the CD and immunization form at SLEC 13jan. She was not given the sealed medical report. SLEC told us that would be delivered to the USEM 14jan. We did out USEM interview 14jan without the sealed medical report because the USEM had not received it from SLEC.

We called the USEM after the interview and they said they received the medical report on 14jan. SLEC also told me that they take the previous day's reports over to the USEM the next morning.

I suspect her medical report is already at the USEM.

Yup. you're right. She went to SLEC this morning and they told her it's already at the embassy and that she was all set for her interview. Hallelujah!! On to the CFO :dancing:

This from the embassy website -

You will get a warning if you go to cancel your second appointment that you will have to pay a new visa fee. Plus there will be a 90 waiting period before being allowed to schedule a 3rd interview.

Thanks Hank!

In our case, our first interview date was set by the NVC but of course, my parents didnt make it due to the the sputum test. Is that considered first cancellation?

A cancellation is a cancellation.

In your situation I would be calling the embassy to do the scheduling for your parents.

From the USTRAVELDOCS website: ......."Applicants are only allowed to reschedule twice (not including the initial appointment) without penalty. If the second rescheduling attempt is canceled, an applicant will only be allowed to reschedule a new date after a waiting period of 90 days: ..."
