W-2 and Employment Certificate

I Just want to ask If what should we put on Affidavit of support as it says on the W-2 Wages tips and other Compensation is $35,0000 But on Certificate of Employment it says Salary is $39,000 Per anually. So should we put the one on W-2 or the one on Employment Certification?

I get raise every year, and previous year's W2 is a historical record,

but your letter of employment is reflecting your current salary.

Therefore, you should use your current salary (that's on the employment certification).

According to Saylin's NVC wiki:

-Use the correct numbers on the I-864/I-864EZ for past year's incomes. As it states RIGHT IN THE QUESTION, if you filed a 1040 (or 1040A), then use total income, and if you filed a 1040EZ, then use adjusted gross income. If you filed jointly, then make sure you use the combined income (since it doesn't separate the incomes) and then submit W2s to show individual income.

In my case I filed 1040A, so I filled in the info that was listed on my IRS Transcript which was easier as I had 3 different W2s.

Use the amount stated in the 1040 form. As this reflects the total salary earned per annual income tax return. This supports your affidavit of support.

Our recent K1 interview was less than 5 minutes and the CO didn't ask for anything income related, such as I-134, 1040, W2, bank statements or work documents.

I know that doesn't answer your question, just sharing that I put a lot of effort into preparing all the financial stuff ... then nothing.

I just received the Affidavit of support from my Fiance he signed it however he didn't put his annual Income can I just put it using Black ink? Or it must be printed?

The income you need to list on the I-134 is CURRENT income. This income may differ from past income which will be listed on your W-2 form. If your Certificate of Employment says your current salary is $39,000, then you need to write $39,000 on the I-134 as your current income.

OP - which AOS form are you going to be submitting (I-864, I-864EZ, etc)? It makes a difference - hence the differing answers you're receiving.

I know that doesn't answer your question, just sharing that I put a lot of effort into preparing all the financial stuff ... then nothing.

They probably did not ask because of the work you put in. The rule of thumb that I have learned is the more complete your application is, the shorter your interview is. The long interviews tend to be when there are holes in the documentation. The CO reviewed your file and was content prior to your interview.

I would file both: the w-2 is proof of last year's income and the letter shows an increase (bonus)!
