medical results this morning for my mom is for sputum test. her supposed to be interview is on feb 5. now we have to wait two stressful months for the results.

how nd when can i resched for her interview?

do i need to call before feb 5 to inform that my mom is not finish with her medical yet?

SLEC will notify the USEM that she will be doing 60 days sputum. I don't think SLEC cancels her interview though, you might be the one to do that.

The end of March or April calendars won't open at the USEM website for another month or so. If it is me, I'd wait to see how the 60 day sputum goes before scheduling a new appointment.

where/which website can I see the open slot for interview for immigrant visa? I checked us.traveldocs.com/ph but i did not see any dates available.

It only means that the April calendar is not visible yet. Right now January and February are showing, not sure they have released any March dates yet, and for sure no April dates.

Did you create an account on ustraveldocs? You could simple call the embassy, in your case that may be easier.

SLEC doesn't do the scheduling

Hi hotmom.

i met this woman 3 months ago when i went to Saint Lukes. She undergo sputum test also. she told me that Saint Lukes told her they already informed the US Embassy manila that she will undergo 2 months test, and they will inform her the new interview date after they have the result of the test. maybe they inform your mom about it. or your mom can ask them coz she will be having the test daily in Saimt lukes.

SLEC will inform the embassy and the embassy will reschedule your (mother's) interview once she is cleared by SLEC. There is nothing you can do at this point but be patient and pray your mom will be found without any complications.

yes, whatelse can i do except to pray for the negative results. i was just dissapointed because i already have a ticket to go home and plan to buy her ticket in the philippines for her to be with us when i get back here. i just hope and pray she will not have to go the DOT process.

I had read recently that SLEC was not doing scheduling anymore after SPUTUM or DOT.

We scheduled with the USEM after DOT. SLEC doesn't appear to get involved with that, which seems ok as people can choose the best available USEM date that suits them after 60 day negative sputum or DOT. Edited January 25, 2015 by luckytwo15

The odds are in your favor that she will be sputum negative and not have to do DOT.
