Hi there!!

I arrived here in US last December 26th. My fiance (now husband) got married and I already got my SS card. I know I need to apply for AOS/EAD/AP and have EAD to get a job and I know it will take 3 months to be approved.

I've been working for 9 years when I was in the Philippines and now I am unemployed for almost a month  . I just wanna ask people here in VJ, what did you do in 3 months without a job and waiting for EAD..?? I'm not saying I'm bored, I'm just trying to get some ideas  that I could do while waiting for the EAD.

Thanks for your input... ! :)

I came here last November, i am now staying here for almost 3 months,im just at home..i worked since i am 21, and im 38 going 39 this coming august, life changing from being employed to non employed is really tough, lets say we are not used to just staying at home, what i did is to do the housewife job, taking good care of the house, doing everything like cooking and doing laundry even if my husband did not expect that from me,i watched tv from the time he left to work until the time he got home..on my first month was so hard to adjust..but eventually i learned how to adjust from being busy to just a plain housewife, now we filed for my AOS and i will start to go to school for CNA this February.step by step to get ssn and state id..everything is starting to move now..just be patience with everything, boredom is natural..just keep focus and be busy taking good care of your husband..everything will be fine soon..keep reading vj as well to make you busy.goodluck ?
