MNL# received in letter but Embassy has not contacted me yet, what's next?

I had my medical today which Hank recommended (thanks again, Hank) even though we haven't received any letter. And true enough, they just asked for Appointment Letter, NVC Letter (with MNL#) and the other required stuff. I got there at 6:30 am and finished the first part at noon. I will return on Monday for MMR and chickenpox vaccine.

Hi, kipper! Thanks for sharing. What do you mean by "other required stuff"? Are they the passport and three photos (size: 2 x 2)? My daysoff are Thursday and Friday. Would they allow people to choose the date if they require them to come back? Tnx.

Required stuff are 4 pcs 2x2 photo (follow US visa photo reqmts), 3 photocopies of passport bio in short paper and actual passport of course, 2 copies of online application form (http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/).%C2'>

And as far as I know, Day 1 and Day 2 are consecutive days...so best to come on Thursday so you can get your vaccination on Friday. And as some people here have mentioned, you'll be lucky if you get to do everything on Day 1 only because I finished everything at noon and they still schedule my vaccination on Monday. Goodluck!

You're such an angel, thanks kipper! It's a little weird to be idle for so long not knowing that we could get the ball rolling as early as last month! Lol. Update us on your progress! Wish you all the best too! :) Edited by dynm

Btw, what is the best interval between a medical exam and interview at the embassy? Is 2 weeks more preferable than one (in case of delay of results, etc) Tnx.

Two weeks is best, that will allow sufficient time, but with SLEC handing you the medical records upon completion of your exam to carry to your interview, then one week should be fine.

Embassy states in their instructions letter (which you should be reading and using as your checklist) to do the medical AT LEAST a week before the interview, so more is better to a degree... months ahead can be bad as it will minimize visa validity accordingly.

Thanks, Hank! And yes, I'm cross-checking the info shared with the immigration letter linked on this forum. :)

The NVC letter doesn't have to be the original one right? Scanned and printed is okay? (Sorry, if that sounded a tad nit picky, but any confirmation would be appreciated!)

Yup, all are copies. All the original letters from USCIS and NVC are still with me after the interview.

I see, and the letter with MNL# that St. Luke might ask for could be just a copy as well, right? :)

Yes. A scanned email copy is what I sent my fiancée. She printed it out and that worked fine.
