I believe they were, especially mentally. In the 2014 playoffs they would go toe to toe and bang heads with anybody, this year they kinda just rolled over at the end. I've never liked John Fox as a head coach.

I think they knew Peyton was injured and couldn't get it done. Even leading up to the game, pretty much everyone expected to knock off the Colts and then go get blown out by the Patriots. Couldn't even do that.

I still think a coach like Belichik would have had a better game plan to minimize the QB's injury or weakness.

Belichik is definitely one of the best ever, very rarely does his game plan come up short. Even when they do lose it's usually because of bad execution by the team or a few players. He get's the players to buy into his philosophy and when they are all in, there's very few teams that can beat them. You're right when you said it's a lot of smarts.

I've been hearing on sports radio here that the Broncos might purposely fail Manning on his physical in order to cut him or get him to redo his contract, any truth to that as far as you know?

Last week, local sports guy's were saying you could bet your last dollar Peyton would be back. He had let it slip somewhere but hadn't announced it.

Elway said he wants Manning back, but he said the same thing about Tebow. Purposely failing the physical for a guy like Manning - I don't think they would go there. Way too disrespectful.

I would guess the truth is they want him back, but not at $19 millionI. I imagine they want to restructure, but if not, and the Broncos want to move on, I think they would come to a mutual agreement on Mannings release. I don't think it would be by failing the physical on purpose.

I was a bit surprised when I heard that as well. Manning is definitely not worth the $19 million though.

Here's one of the stories about the Broncos failing Manning's physical:

It was reported last night that Manning has started training, and intendeds to play in 2015 for the Denver Broncos. However, Cole reported today that he has spoken to two sources close to the team and that the team is uncertain if they want Manning back in 2015. Cole goes on to say that the Broncos could fail Manning's physical.

"At this point in his career, the Broncos could fail Peyton Manning for any reason, including the four neck surgeries that he has already had," said Cole "In talking to sources close to the team, there's a big question here about whether the Broncos want to bring him back for one more year. They're going to have to feel very comfortable about this."

I saw the story, but his salary for 2015 is not guaranteed so it doesn't make sense to fail the physical on purpose to release him. Manning already said the physical wont be an issue. It could backfire if they go down that road.

His salary is not guaranteed, but failing his physical will allow them leverage to renegotiate his contract.

Some kind of a decision has to be made by March 10 at 4PM. They bring him back, bring him back and restructure, or they let him go. I'll bet there will be a few teams that would take him. Maybe Houston or Arizona, either are a QB away from the playoffs.

Why don't you roll a few for us and then make lunch.

I think they'll bring him back with a restructured deal, but those two teams would be a nice option for Manning. Both are are on the verge but need a better QB.

I want a turkey club sammich Val, extra mayo.

Val's rollin' bones now, then she'll start on the food. As long as she doesn't dip into the 'ludes first.
