I think Brady is just about equal with Montana at this point at the top, maybe Montana is #1 and Brady is #1A. If Brady wins this one, I think the top of the mountain is his alone for some time to come.

I don't think the Seahawks D is as dominant as the 85/86 Bears or the Ravens of yesteryear. They are good but they have their holes and the Packers had them all but beat in the NFC Championship. Their weakness is the short passing game with yards after the catch which plays right into the Pats strength. I think the Seahawks downfall will be their offense, they won't be able to keep pace with Pats. As long as Brady gets 2 to 3 seconds to throw the ball, the Pats should win this game.

Obviously I'm rooting for the Pats, but I don't see them scoring many points against Seattle. Can the Patriots hold Seattle to under 20 points? Denver had the highest scoring offense in NFL history and scored 8 points against them last year. Can they shut down the running game and make Wilson beat them throwing? Wilson only throws about 20-25 times per game. If they can make him pass 40+ times they may have a better chance. Will we be able to run the ball at all?

The Packers had the game won, but they chickened out, went ultra conservative and then choked. Seattle never quit fighting and Wilson made the throws that counted to win the game. I give the coaching edge to NE, but Carroll is no slouch. Those guys would die for him. Seattle is brute force, the Pats need to be powerful but have finesse. I want to see Lane covering the 6'6" 265lbi Gronk since he said he wasn't that good. It's been a few years since Gronk has been healthy and he is back to form now. I love watching him On my way! defenders down. He's like a bull in a china shop.

I think the Pats can hold Seattle to under 20. Green bay held them to 7 until the 4th quarter debacle and the pats defense is better that Green bay. I don't see the Pats choking like GB did. It will probably be 24-14 or 24-17 Pats. I don't think the Pats will go much higher than 30pts, so the defense is gonna have to play big. Gronk is gonna show the Hawks what a true beast mode really is.

(football is stupid)

Thank you dear. Is my lunch ready yet?

It was originally thought that the Patriots were intentionally playing with underinflated balls. But after further review it has been found that the cause of the deflated balls were there close proximity to CABA chicks.

I think you nailed it on the Gronk factor. A strong TE may be the chink in the Seahawk defense armor. It remains to be seen.

Just going by stats, Seattle and NE have roughly similar offensive performance despite having distinct styles and skills. If NE can find the recipe the Greenbay found to shutdown Luke Wilson and Skittles for 99.9% of of the game, Seattle will have trouble. What is the Pats plan to neutralize those two?

It will be a good game.

ah craps. Now I have to plan a party at the house for 8 people for feetball viewing. My krewe will go out and purchase the raw food and cook it, but I gotta get the wine and liquor and beer and napkins. Many Many Napkins.

They took one look at my home office, decided that the 4 screens there were perfect for watching the game. Somehow my desk got moved, couches and loveseats and beanbags arrived, and now there's coffee tables with chinese hot pot gear on em.

So, who's playing, again? I guess I'll report back, when able :D

The local papers and radio are saying that the ball boy went to the men's room for about 90 seconds and took the bag of balls with him. The NFL also stated that the referee checked the balls before the game with a gauge, but he didn't record the pressure. I don't think they are going to find a smoking gun here.
