You misunderstood. I was not comparing it to terrorism, so much as I stated it is terrorism.

You can take issue with it, but I don't think any reasonable person can compare it to/call it terrorism.

Hence we need all kinds of silly analogies to other issues to prove that they are not the same.

Terrorism is what people say it is. Indiscriminate bombing by the USA in the middle east is terrorism since the goal of those activities are to advance a political agenda by targeted assassinations, extraordinary renditions, torture and the like.

A lot of people just arent willing to look at such things in those terms because they can't accept that terrorism is a nebulous concept.
