how long does it take to complete the entire process? I just want to gather my information for my mom when she gets here in the summer. She will be filing for my younger siblings, one will be 20 and the other will be 16. Will she be ok with my little brothers age if she files immediately upon arrival?

Ok. So do you know how long priority dates normally become available in this category?

No one can predict because movements change every month. Sometimes fast, slow or no movement at all that's why I said it'll take more or less 2 years for the entire process.

No one can tell if your brother will be able to immigrate in the F2a category with CSPA.

The best way is to be prepared.

Have mom fly immediately to the U.S. after she get her visa. Don't waste time preparing to move after getting her visa. If the ticket cost $1000 more than waiting a month, etc., then pay it. How much is waiting an additional 5 years for her son to immigrate?

Once her plane lands, have the I-130 ready. Use her temporary green card to apply.

The faster she can file, the better his chance of getting a visa under the F2a category.

Focus on what you can control - when to file the I-130. Don't focus on things you can not control - time to approve the I-130 and time for PD to become current.

Best of luck.

Thank you! Really appreciate it!
