Enter with a CR1 then leaving for school after a few months(split)

I will be entering the US late Jan if all goes well, on CR1 visa. Will be there till end of april then i have to go back to turkey finish my degree.. I will try transferring my credits for a few months say 3-4 by getting a university in states where i can cover for the time in turkey.. If not it means i will be out of USA from may till dec 2015.. Does it mean i have to get a re-entry permit before leaving? What do yiu advice? I will be out for 8 months +2 weeks if I cannot transfer credits.thank you!

I think you are eligible from a green card when your CR1 is approved, I think you just have to request it when you get here. I don't think this is the correct forum for this question, so I may be wrong in my answer.

If you have a Green Card and want to leave the USA for more than 6 months you could have issues re-entering.
