My green card expired 1/9/15 and I sent my application 1/10/15. It was received 1/12/15 and I recieved my NOA1 dated 1/13/15. My question is this, since my green card had technically expired and I had "no status" for a few days, does this notice still apply to me? It is worded that is extends for one year and you are allowed to work and travel, but then also says this extension does not apply to you if your conditional resident status has been terminated. Do I technicially fall under the category of being terminated?

I am supposed to start a new job next week and I'm not sure if I am legally authorized to work at this point.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Honestly you were so lucky they didn't sent you the package back as they usually do, the would most likely terminate your status if you fail to remove conditions in the time frame, but since you received the NOA1 you are probably fine, if you don't get the biometrics appointment call USCIS. GOOD LUCK!
