Kids move/join school throughout the school year, that is no reason for expedite.

If your fiance lives in a bad area, then maybe. You'd need to provide proof she is in danger.

It costs nothing to ask. My case went through CSC pretty quick - they are much faster than Texas anyway, but 16 days from NOA1 to NOA2 makes me wonder whether they aren't automatically expediting Ukraine. Still, given that you are in the Texas service center, it would not hurt to call. There are threads you can search that give advice on how to ask for the expedite. Perhaps it depends on where in Ukraine your fiance resides - certainly further east makes a very compelling case for an expedite. Best of luck, and keep us posted.

Yours would fall under "humanitarian situation." You usually need to provide proof that your fiancée is in serious danger. In other words, don't assume that they know what is going on in Ukraine or that your fiancée lives in the affected region. There is no hard and fast rule for which type of evidence to provide, but you've gotten a couple suggestions already in this thread.

I didn't actually submit a request because NOA2 came quickly. You can't do it anonymously, they will not know which case to expedite. :)

In my case I went online and I found a United Nations Human Rights Violations Report. Then I went through it and highlighted everything that applied to my fiance's living situation. Then I wrote a letter requesting the expedite and attached it. I mailed it snail mail.

you can also use articles online as evidence but most of it needs to be from the United States for example travel.state.gov.

Waiver mailed January 17th

Waiver received January 18th

Waiver received from Phoenix to Nebraska Center January 27th

Waiver approved February 17th!!!!!!

this is for a 601 waiver no lawyer assistance and the reason for the expedite is because I need two surgeries one is pre cancer related in addition to I am also bipolar with PSTD and panic disorder and severe depression.

Hi,

My fiance lives on the eastern border of Ukraine just 15 km from Russia, but he is north of the current line of fighting. However, he is also at risk for being drafted into the Ukrainian military which would put him at risk for being killed in action as many soldiers have already died. :(

Would this also qualify?

From experience, approved expedite request can take up to 45 days to have a decision made on your petition. Though probably approved in a week or less. It takes 5 business days to request expedite, then maybe a day if they ask for more proof. They can rubber stamp deny and never ask for info. If they happens, wait 30 days and try again.

News articles that are current are good. Maybe pics and an explanation of your situation.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

It could be faster. I requested mine early in the morning on a Friday, received a request for evidence about an hour later....sent them my evidence by email in about 30 minutes. Literally 7 minutes later expedite was approved and petition was approved about 30 minutes after that. I'm sure that's not the norm....but it does happen. I had a NOA 2 by noon the same day I requested expedite.
