I'm looking to file by next week, so I'll be a February filer as well!

Welcome to the club. :)

Anyone have advice?

Don't finalize your wedding plans until your visa is approved. It could take longer than you expect. That's my observation from reading posts here and seeing what at least one member went through when she'd paid a lot of nonrefundable money for her wedding and the I-129F process got delayed.

Also, study the guides and read posts here so that you'll know what to include in the application. But you're probably already doing that. :)

Oh and... Yak caravan?

My joke - my fiance is from Nepal and sometimes stuff comes so slowly it seems like it comes by yak caravan-usual transport in the mountains...

Hello everybody!

We sent our application yesterday, February 6th, to Texas center. And now we have a question... on USPS's site it says that they attempted delivery, today at 11:44 AM (so during office hours I would say), and a notice was left. They will try a second delivery... But now I wonder, how can they get a delivery receipt from a PO box?!

We are both confused and until we get an answer from a USPS office (cause it seems that is as hard as getting an answer from USCIS  ), I was wondering if anyone had this stupid problem.

This happened to me too, don't worry. I sent mine Thurs Feb 1st and it arrived Friday Feb 2nd. But they said too a notice was left. I don't know how they can't deliver to a PO box, but anyway this past monday I checked and it said it had been delivered. Even my mom who has worked for the USPS for 25 yrs didn't know why. But be patient. It will be delivered. If its been a week or something then call though.

 Thanks alot, we felt more relieved after your answer... and YES! today it says delivered!

Good luck to all of the February filers... it seems like now I have something to put in my signature

Anyone gonna be filing with the Texas Service Center in February? I hope to send our's by the end of the week.

Hey, you know something? I sent my I-130 out yesterday. Got there at 10:44am this morning and I am reading the SAME thing about how they attempted delivery and all that notice being left stuff. I am confused too! But glad to see that I'm NOT the only one! Still makes me worried, I don't want it to get sent back! :(

Editing: Well I just read Nazuspe's answer as well as yours and all is well! So I'm sure now that mine will get delivered! I feel more relieved now! Thanks!

I guess I'll join the club. My I-129F package was mailed out on Feb 8th (USPS Priority) to the Texas center and as of the 10th tracking shows attempted delivery.

My guess is since it is going to a PO box (either at the USCIS or real post office), someone must come in once a day and sign off on all the packages at once.

"And so it begins..."
