Being in the same situation as the touches, I am not sure what to think. From what I read, a touch simply means it has been scanned when moved, either from one desk to another, so maybe they were sorting them out one day from one desk and scanned the next when recieved to the next desk.... maybe? I don't thinka tocuh is an indication to good or badness really...

All NOA2's come at weird speeds it seems. Although there does seem to be a pattern (a few NOA2's for 12th's yesterday and one today for a 13th) but there are still some who have an NOA1 from the 6th and 7th and even before who haven't gotten an NOA2 :)

They way I think of it, the longer you wait, the more it looks less like an RFE. If something really stood out then they would tell you by now... surely?

Thats my thoughts! I had hoped for a before march NOA2 but I will wait until they are ready for it :)

So I'm a bit of a dip, and had had on my timeline the date I physically received the NOA1 rather than the notice date on the piece of paper.

It was 2/9...and I got all pumped when I saw two touches last week...alas nothing further.

These are the things I ponder (or rather, obsess over):

1)are those two touches and then silence a good sign or a bad one?

2)is the fact that those who filed after me have gotten NOA2s an ominous thing for me, or do things simply move at different speeds?

3)if I'm a good girl and extremely patient, will my NOA2 eventually arrive or will I be crushed by the receipt of a denial or an RFE?

Tony and fiancee, are you thinking the same as I?

Where have you seen those from the 6th and 7th who haven't received anything after their NOA1? It would make me feel a lot better to know that I'm not the only one...:)

I had to wait until my checks were returned to me to be able to read my case #.

So just tonight I saw that my case was entered on 2-15 and touched 2-23-07. I guess it was touched ... it says; "Last Updated 2-23-07" so I assume that's a touch.

I could previously ONLY see a 2-20-07 date on the faxed copy of the back of my check. There's a stamp over my WAC# and had to guess even on the actual instrument.

2-2-07 Sent I-129F to NSC

2-6-07 NSC received USPS mail, NSC then to CSC

2-15-07 NOA1 -file received

2-16-07 check cashed

8-7-07 sent K3 from Bangkok

9-10-07 I-130 NOA1, (received at CSC 8-9-07)

10-9-07 sent I-129F to CSC

11-1-07 touched I-130

requested consular processing I-130 (http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/PN_i-129f.pdf)

9-13-07 I-129F for Spouse arrived CSC via USPS return rcpt. requested

4-1-08 NOA2 for K3 (I-134 supposed to be processed but processed I-129F instead)

I think you misunderstood my question, ding...or it's entirely possible that I phrased it badly.

I was refering to the fact that I am in a tizzy because my receipt date is 2/9 yet people who filed more than a week after me are already getting NOA2s. Then Tonyeck mentioned that there are still early Feb filers who've only received their NOA1 and nothing more, and I asked how to find them so I felt better.

Now this second attempt at asking this questions sounds clear as mud! Think I need to sleep and stop stressing.

I was often posting about not getting a touch, not knowing if my case was actually received, what was my case #... and was an early Feb. filer. I was replying to your post in reference to Tonyeck's statement. You just found one, or I thought I'd had no touches until I could read my case #.

Got mud? I do!

tony,

It gets freakier aside from sending/getting notice the same days and your fiancee leaving england in august (when I left my bf in australia)

you guys will be in arlington? Pretty cool. :P

I'm currently in Richmond, VA.

I really thought I was going to get an RFE on my application, cause from other people's packages, it seemed to be so much more detailed and some people put tons more evidence in than I did.

I just did like boarding passes, pictures, passport stamps, and our itineraries from his trip here and our trip over the christmas break to the bahamas.

I seriously don't know how some people have lasted like 4 months without notice, I seriously went crazy in just two weeks.

I wonder what's making Vermont Service Center so fast with turnovers at like less than a month, and then the other ones have like 4 month turnarounds.

Good luck February people :)

Was I one of the few so far that's gotten a NOA as a feb filer?

My timeline:

02 - 09 - 2007 - Sending off of my I-129F package

02 - 13 - 2007 - NOA1 Received

02 - 21 - 2007 - Touched!

03 - 01 - 2007 - NOA2 Received

03 - 02 - 2007 - Touched Again!

03 - 06 - 2007 - NVC Received

03 - 07 - 2007 - Was told by email I-129F will be forwarded to Sydney

03 - 08 - 2007 - I-129F picked up by DHL and on it's way to Sydney!!

03 - 12 - 2007 - Sydney Consulate received packet! From DHL: 1:48 pm Shipment delivered WOOT

03 - 19 - 2007 - Packet Three is sent off!

03 - 20 - 2007 - Corey goes to get his fingerprints/police check completed. Now we wait for the investigation and then I can be assured he's not a criminal =]

03 - 21 - 2007 - Corey gets Pkt 3 via Registered Mail

03 - 22 - 2007 - Sent Corey a copy of all the documents and the notarized I-134.. hopefully everything arrives safely!

04 - 17 - 2007 - Corey's Medical Examination.. Let's hope everything goes great!

05 - 01 - 2007 - Corey's Medical Rescheduled to this date because doctor was away!

05 - 04 - 2007 - Corey's Initial Interview date! (We only had ONE week's notice!)

05 - 30 - 2007 - Corey's Rescheduled Interview date because there was no time for the initial one

Another day and no change... NOA1 on 2-7-07, touched on 2-15-07...It appears that the Vermont center has a lighter workload and is able to process faster than Cali :crying:

I limit myself to checking only once a day...

Whew, check cashed today. I signed up for email updates at uscis, is there anything else i need to do? I hope the NOA1 comes today. Maybe i'll be able to breathe a little easier now. Thanks for everyone's reassurance :)

How exactly does one go about signing up for e-mail updates. I went to the web site and they ask for an application receipt number. Does one only get that after the NOA1 or where is that found? Thanks!

If you've received the cancelled check or you can view it online, there should be a number on the back of it. It should start with three letters, I don't know what they are for Nebraska. That's the receipt number that you need. If you have received your NOA1 in the mail, the number will also be on that.

Thanks for your help! I never receive cancelled checks back, so I guess I will have to wait it out for the NOA1. Thanks again.

Finally got a letter from USCIS for the NOA1. The correct date for the NOA1 is the notice date they give you correct and not the receipt date? So I guess mine NOA1 is February 23rd, 2007. At least there is some progress... though I know that much more waiting is ahead. Good luck to all out there!!!

Quick question... does the USCIS ever mess up with their on-line posting regarding cases? The reason I am asking is I just got a notice that my petition was recieved on the 23 of February. So I go and check to see what it says on-line by entering my receipt number and it says this about my case...

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On February 28, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

I know this is great news... but part of me is saying they messed up and when meaning to put that this case has it's NOA1 they put this just to get my hopes up lol. Just wanted to see what anyone else had experienced. Also as a Nebraska filer seemed real quick... though I will happily accpet it if it is real. Guess I just have to wait to receive the notice in the mail if it is in fact true. And believe you me that when I do receive it I will be exstatic.
