If we are supposed to get only the I-693a does it have to be in a sealed envelope? I'm going to see a doctor in gaithersburg this afternoon, she said it would cost $20, but I will let you guys know.

nessa's was in a sealed envelope for aos and we got another copy just in case they lose the first.

OK...I am totally confused now. My finacee did her medical back in Nov 06....what proof will she have to show to the civil surgeon here that she did the medical already for her K1 visa.

I live in the Palm Beach area in Florida and so far all Drs are telling me that they will have to do the entire medical from scratch. Please advise.

the ds-3025 shows she had her vacinations, she should have received a copy of it for the purpose of aos later on. no, she does not need the entire medical, just the i-693a vaccination supplement for aos as the exam is less than a year old.

Where did you guys get the DS-2035 form?

i'm assuming you mean ds-3025. your spouse should have received that in brazil upon completion of her medical.

You should have gotten your DS-2035 from the medical exam you had before interview in your country (maybe with the xray film). I got my i-693 supplement done by

Damn brazilian doc. charge too much wihout receiving anything. Nope, we didn't receive DS-2035.

Wish I had better luck with Dr. Anchor. Anywho, we got it done at the doc in Springfield...it took about 5 minutes, and it was $25. Hope this helps everyone in this area.

My husband got his missing shots (ones not available in his country) from the health department which cost about $125 and when I questioned the nurse about one that he would need a second booster for because of the time since the first, she said it wasn't necessary because he had the first. When we went to the civil surgeon ( we called first to find out if he would transfer to a I-693A and the very nice receptionist said "Yes, of course!" and quoted me $60), he said he didn't understand why they didn't do the second shot and I agreed because it seemed obvious he needed it, so he said you can go back and wait at the health department and have it done for $25 or have it here for $40 because it really does cost him more than it does the health department. We chose to save time and have him do it. So all in all we paid about $225 versus nearly $500 to have a complete exam on an I-693.

DO NOT GO to the Wabash clinic. They are AWFUL. That is where I went and they don't even do their bloodwork there. They tell you to come back in a few days. When you need results instantly, you need to go somewhere else. I paid somewhere between 320-370 for my medical there. It was such a ripoff. There's a good doctor in Columbia that charges less and is in a much nicer, cleaner office.

The Wabash medical center is in the ghetto and is very unclean and charges way too much.

Well.. I won't, but being in the ghetto does not bother me half as much as the fact that they are overcharging. Not happy to hear about the unclean bit either - you'd expect medical centres to be clean... ya know?
