Nobody said there was.

Extended DACA starts in a few weeks.

I see that my original post has been misinterpreted by some.

So let me restate. There are two issues:

1) No matter what those who have come into the USA illegally will be processed for and given, it will take government employee manpower to process. Our immigration system is already undermanned and under funded. Thus the process can do nothing except get slower for all those being processed, including those on this board who are or associated with those who are following completely legal procedures to AOS. Doesn't matter if there will be a different department processing or the same department; the employees and funding will be moved around.

2) I also raise the issue of 'nit picking' those of us and our partners who have come legally and are AOS legally and at the same time processing those who have come completely illegally.

i.e. We see here every week someone getting RFE to provide more info to prove they are doing everything according to the book . . . while at the same time our government will be processing those who by definition started out completely illegal.

Doesn't matter that those who came illegally are not doing a complete AOS or will have a clear path to citizenship. They will get what they want which is clear cut work authorization and freedom from fear of being deported.

I would bet that many here going through the AOS process would be satisfied with just getting those two things also.

Nothing racist at all in my views and I am fully cognizant that we are a nation of immigrants.

But now we are putting out the word that it doesn't matter if you come legally or illegally; there will be a path for you to gain work permits and no fear of being deported.

Posted in another thread. but found petition for congress asking for AOS processing before DACA.

Politicians and lawyers can figure out DACA.... but USCIS has limited resources... and not fair to penalize people following the rules to reward those who did not.

There's no plan in place, even less a law, to give any illegal alien permanent residency. If, and I must emphasize this, if the GOP-controlled Congress really feels that giving a little will gain them votes in November of 2016, you can expect the President to sign such a bill into law at the end of 2016. The first illegal aliens will then get a work permit early in 2017 and would be eligible for AoS around 2027. Maybe you guys should chill a bit . . .

2027 ? I really misunderstood everything...I though they would receive automatic residency. I'm glad they still have too wait a little bit. After all, we try to immigrate the legal way...they should do the same thing. Will they pay anything though ? If not, I will be pissed...or ask for a refund lol
