Hello all.

So it's been nearly 6 months since NOA1 for us. NOA1 was sent to us on July 21, 2014 to TSC. I had read that many others emailed their congressman for help and received a bit faster service or at least some information on their case. I sent 2 emails this morning to my local congressman here in Oklahoma.

Has anyone else had any luck with emailing your congressman?

I contacted my Senator and his office sent a request to USCIS for information on my case...that was a month ago and I have heard nothing back from them. Contact your Congressman and Senator and maybe you will get some answers. I know we are so close to getting approved I am a day behind you. Good luck and I hope you hear something soon!

A number of communications made between my fiance and his congressman's office. They were as useful as a D cup on a nun.

Others have had more success. It depends on the office. Good luck.

We got NOA2 immediately after seeking help of our congressman. My husband is LPR and it took 1yr for NOA2 because of internal "delays" in USCIS. We were thinking i130 filed by LPRs were "put aside" because of DACA. This was back in 2012-2013.

It was the office of Congressman Xavier Becerra who helped us.

Pretty much the case. They can't get any more answers than you can on your own. They can't "force" them to issue your Visa, they can't make them hurry up. USCIS are not answerable to elected officials.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Our NOA1 is July 8 and we are still waiting, with no word from the incompetent USCIS, even with a Tier 2 inquiry filed (responded with 'within normal processing times'.. AFTER we hit 6 months) and a Senator inquiry which we have yet to hear back on. They are absolutely useless. No idea if Senator or Congressman help pushes it along faster, but I doubt it. USCIS doesn't really answer to anyone and isn't required to do anything based on their inquiry other than answer it.
