Pope visit

I did not see this posted anywhere. I am not sure if it should be in the Philippines, or off topic forum

I am not catholic, but after reading articles on the pope visit. I thought what the pope did was very good. Standing and speaking in the heavy rain and getting soak just as bad as the millions of people, there that went to see him( I doubt if Obama or any of our government official would of done that)

Since the Philippines is mostly catholic. I am sure the pope visit was very special to millions of people there even if his visit was a lot later then when typhoon Yolanda struck

Anyway that is just my thoughts on his visit there.

Philippines is a very boring country in general, unless your a single guy. Where Religion is a mile wide and a inch deep.

But I would assume it give many something to do and a reason for people to not work. I would assume most people in Philippines are not aware of how liberal this pope is and probably many in the Catholic Church will rejoice when he dies.

I would bet most people in Philippines have no clue where this pope is from, or much less know what country the Vatican is located in.

So I take it you Hate the Philippines. As far as not working, there are not that many jobs anyway so a lot of people would not be working anyway. I bet you are wrong as far as not knowing where the pope lives I bet almost all them know, and yes I have been to other places other then manila there. I stay at my wife parents house in the country in Bohol where there is no running water, no internet, and you have to use the balon to get water and make do with what you have.

Any country can be consider boring if you are not single and you have a family unless you consider staying at home watching Tv. or working in the yard exciting. Most guys even if they wanted to do not have the extra money to go out all the time like they could when they was single

Here where I live in USA I have so many options of dining and entertainment at night, I just wish there was more entertainment in the Philippines.

There are not that many jobs there compare to how many people live there. The jobs that are there do not paid that much. Most people living there are not staying home because it is a luxury for them.

Yes you have more options here, but having the extra money to do that all the time is a different story. Most guy when they are married do not have as much extra money, as they had when they were single.

How are the girls any different then the ones here who stay on facebook all day? via phone or tablet or are texting friends all day long, if they are not at their friends house sitting around.

Seems like you still expect to live the single life even after you are married.

Seems like we have different views on entertainment. yours is quantity over quality while my is the opposite.

I will rather have the one big thrill instead of all the little cheap thrills.

My husband did not mind being in Naga. His only problem was his butt started getting sore after the flight and then the 8 hour bus ride! He preferred the quiet of the country and just having a city close enough for sights and new things. He also said living with us was like camping in the woods when he was younger. I guess some foreigners do only go after women and then leave them, but as my husband said, this day and age of technology, you can not hide who you truly are from those around you for long. Better to enjoy life and keep loving forward. He still likes watching cartoons ☺️ Guess that's taking things with a grain of salt...

My mom grew up in Texas. I was just giving him a taste of his own medicine. It is quite obvious, by his post, that he has no idea what he is talking about and has zero understanding of the economic problems facing all developing countries.

true, he probably never went hungry. had everything given to him, and or had the easy life. He probably think there is no unemployment or hungry people in the USA. After all America has all the entertainment. So I know he will not have a clue about other countries Edited January 19, 2015 by j&ana
