In the interview, the girl also says the two plan on having children.

The woman says he father was in and out of her life mostly when she was young. She recalls wondering where he was and why she hadn't hear from him. There was no contact for 12 years and she did not finally meet him again until she was 17.

Her father reached out to her on Facebook when she was in high school and soon after, the woman went to stay with him for a week.

After the week, the 18-year-old revealed they had sex and were dating after.

Many people were aware of the situation.

"Everyone on my mom’s side of the family sees us as father and daughter," she told the magazine. "Those who know that he’s my dad, and that we are engaged, include my father’s parents (they can see we are happy together and they can’t wait for us to have babies — they treat us just like any other couple), the woman we live with, and my best friend."

After the wedding, the woman says they plan to move to New Jersey where adult incest is legal.

Shame that the same rule doesn't apply to people with AWA issues ... The fact we are both adults and know that people can change from their past doesn't make a difference for immigration, but obviously if I had been born here I could marry whoever I like with no oversight or objections....

Not impressed.

Short outline: AWA affected our application
2012 - married US Citizen from tourist visa (unplanned)

2013 - First application for AOS by marriage - with an attorney but not one with AWA experience

2013 - First NOID - Got Psych report and as much evidence as possible sent off

2015 - Denied

2015 - Reapply for AOS - same attorney but we are better versed this time

2016 - NOID - new reports, fresh proof

2017 - Denied

2017 - Reapply 3rd time - yet more info provided

2018  - NOID - 3RD Psych assessment, at $3000 a pop

2021 - Denied

2021 - Reapply BUT with a change - we switch application from my husband as a sponsor to my eldest step-son and suddenly, no issues

2021 - RFE for Medical Exam only!
2024  Jan 13 - email from attorney to say we have finally been APPROVED

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him to use the Net and he won't bother you for weeks.

The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start making vacuum cleaners

The American way and we want it no other way than how we want it. Sorry you learned this lesson the hard way.

To believe there are only jokes of the South doing things like this when it is legal in N.J.

It shouldn't be legal.

I completely agree. To think that a parent actually wants to marry, have sex with and children with their own child is unspeakably gross, warped and sick on a thousand levels. Is it that hard for the father to find a date?

Well you wonder how anyone can say its consensual. These sort of relationships are not normal, it is not normal to find your parent or child sexually attractive.

It suggests that there is something very wrong with the child's upbringing to skew their attitude to relationships, even into adulthood. That the father is involved also would confirm that.

They are both adults.

Who are we to judge?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

It is a moral law. We shouldn't have laws that regulate morality and keep the state from infringing on religious turf. I hate abortion and think it is killing babies but I will let God judge them not my government. Of course Socialists will say it is OK to abort but will be glad to judge others on their morals when it suits them.

Following that train of we shouldn't have laws to regulate murder or rape either, since those crimes rely on a moral judgement that it is wrong to do those things.

In this case, disagreement over parent child sexual/marital relationships is about preventing predatory relationships. That's more relevant to the issue than some wishy washy libertarian guff about unrestricted freedom of choice.
