Family applying for B1/B2 Visa

Hello everyone,

I am a permanent resident here in the United States, and also a senior in college. My parents and brother (17 years old) would like to come to my graduation, so they want to apply for B1/B2 visa. I was helping them fill out the DS-160 form, but also did some research myself to figure out if it would be better to give my address as their US address or provide a hotel name etc. I encountered some forms I might need to be filling out, like I-134.

My parents will be financing their trip by themselves, so I won't be providing them with any financial support. Since they'll be financing their trip themselves, I don't need to fill out the I-134, or send my documents to them, correct? My parents are both currently working, and my brother is a junior in High School. They have no intention to immigrate to the US, they just want to visit me. If it helps, they live in Turkey.

I am sorry if this type of question was answered before, I tried to find similar questions, but they just made me more confused. Any help would be appreciated!

Agree with Boiler. Each family member will have to prove to the satisfaction of the US consular official at the interviewing US embassy/consulate, that they have significant ties to Turkey such that they would return to Turkey after their US visit is completed. Such ties could include, property, house ownership, current stable employment, etc. Each visitor visa applicant is presumed to have immigration intent, and must prove that they are not trying to immigrate to the US. A letter from a doctor, any documents from you, or any other invitation-type letter would likely have no positive effect on the visitor visa approval.

You can help them filling out application on line however thats all

you can do, They have to get the visas on their own, be honest &

use your address if that's where they will be staying.

They will need job letters, title for home/cars, bank statements,your

brothers school proofs & classes (hope its during his school vacation)

they will show strong additional ties to their home to make them return

and convince the CO

If they are staying with you give your address if not hotel always say the truth

Even if it doesn't help too much I would still write and invitation letter for them stating they are coming for your graduation since that's the reason of the trip, and as everybody else mentioned already lots of proof showing their ties to turkey. Good luck!

I-134 form is an sponsored visa. No any immigration help... just apply for that...
