One example where the UK and US is actually reversed is utilities.

In the US, utilities are regulated by the government and do not compete. They are still private companies but they aren't exactly following capitalism. In the UK, utilities bid against one another for the cheapest or fasted connection. I think one of the negatives of this is that most UK utilities are owned by German, French, or American companies.

Sure and depending on who you're with and where you live you get a different level of service.

Friends of mine are still having major problems with N Power, which despite intervention by the regulator still fails to bill customers correctly.

Yes, because people somehow can't seem to manage their own finances. So, rather than pay employees a fair amount for the work they actually do, you would leave it to employers to pay less in hourly wages and more in benefits, because a percentage of people are irresponsible.

Since when is a America a utopia?

No one really fears socialism. Unless they're european, or lazy, then people just flush it right back down the toilet, into the sewer from whence it came.

You really have nothing to add do you, just nonsense monologuing.

I made my addition to your topic and you don't approve. Wow, who would have expected that? If you were handing out flyers to your socialist rally at the mall, I would accept it, and ask for a few more for my friends. Then, I would ask you to watch while I deposited them into the nearest garbage can. You can't discuss a crapform of economic tyranny into a chef salad. Nothing interesting here.

You don't participate in anything that is said, nor do you add your own points. Your entire rationale here misunderstands not only the OP but also the points that others have raised in relation to it.

It isn't the best article as others have said, however your posts prove the authors point. Your arguments lack the insight of education.

Ask any socialist or wild eyed liberal if they have a better understanding of life because they are enlightened and better educated than any and all conservatives. They will be unable to drool and slobber fast enough before they provide evidence that their family tree has no branches.

I could probably have done without the toilet comment.

You and me both.

Ask any socialist or wild eyed liberal if they have a better understanding of life because they are enlightened and better educated than any and all conservatives. They will be unable to drool and slobber fast enough before they provide evidence that their family tree has no branches.

Again nonsense. There is no opinion here that is based on any verifiable facts or anecdotal experience. Throwing around stereotypes merely highlights the ignorance of the author.

Nothing to see here.

The author would do well to educate herself.

As I suspected.

You suspected what exactly? I was looking for specifics in my previous post.
