Hello everyone,

My wife and I start submit for AOS inside the US. However, we have struggle with our joint sponsor. He is currently sponsoring his wife (overseas) to come here My joint sponsor told us to wait until his wife passed the interview in a US consulate and then he could give his I864 and tax papers for us. We both wanted my paperwork to be finished as early as possible

Is it true for him to wait for his wife interview or he can sponsor me right away? His income is over 30K USD/year.

It should be okay for him to sponsor right away as long as the income is sufficient but it is also natural that he is hesitant not to jeopardize his own plans on a remote chance.

as long as he makes enough to cover everyone, he could file now, but as said he wants to finish his wife's interview first

How many in his household? Ie him, his immigrant wife, you... any kids or other dependents?
