After being in an uncomfortable limbo for 2 mos, we have successfully scheduled the interview! Woo hoo! :dancing:

I wanted to let you know the process. After your case has been transferred to the DR and your CEAC status says "ready"...

- https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ (for the Dominican Republic)

- Complete the DS-160

- Pay Banco Popular $265

- Wait a day for your receipt to process (don't lose it!). You don't have to enter a receipt number, it will process on it's own.
- SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT! It lets you schedule a consular appt and then a VAC appt.

The earliest date available is 1/20 at the moment.
I wish I had understood earlier! We did NOT have to wait for packet 4 to come, which I suspect will never arrive.

Thanks to ladominiricana for the help!

Good for you. My interview is on 2/23. I tried scheduling my husband's appointment at VAC and when I typed the case # it says case # not found, to try later if case # is correct. Did you have that problem? Do you think is to early to book it?

Once we booked the interview, we didn't have to type any number in at all. The VAC was the next page up. I wish I could be of more help!

Did you schedule the interview or did the consulate?

I didn't understand the question really well (mandame un mensaje personal en espanol si ud quiere!).

We printed our receipt at banco popular, then waited until 11am the next morning and were able to make the appointment. We didn't have to put a receipt number in at all, they did it.

Did that answer your question? Good luck!

The NVC sent me my interview date. I call VAC this morning and they asked me to call NVC, NVC stated that the case is still in NVC, it will be sent to DR this week and then I should be able to proceed with VAC

You need go to ustraveldocs.com there you print a page with the fee to pay at banco popular.

Then when you pay at banco popular you go back to ustraveldocs.com and enter your receipt number from banco pular to schedule interview.

If says no found it is because your case isnt on thevsystem yet.

Hi, there is new system vac that allow you to schedule your interview date its new so it depends on NVC if they already assign a date. In my case NVC had not assign date so once it show ready on ceac I called embassy since the system was acting up and on that call they allow me to choose interview and fingerprinting date. Then email me the appt confirmation.
